What do the symbols on the tile motifs mean? Why are geometric patterns used on tiles?

In this workshop participants receive theoretical knowledge about tile motifs and then use ceramic tiles and tile motif templates. The motifs transferred from paper to tile are glazed after applying ceramic decoration techniques. Participants' designs form a collective composition where individual pieces combine to create a whole.
